What do you need to turn a car into historic?

Instructions to convert a car into historic

1. The regulation of being able to convert a car into a historic one can be found in Decree 1247/1995 (of July 14) – Spain.
2. It must be at least 25 years old and the parts must be completely original, without any modification.
3. Collectible cars can also enter.
4. Also cars that are included in the “General Inventory of Movable Property of the Spanish Historical Heritage” or also those that have been declared as cultural assets of interest.
5. They can also enter those vehicles that belonged to a relevant person or of great  historical significance.
6. If you see that your car meets the requirements to be historic, the first thing you have to do is take your vehicle to an official laboratory that is accredited, there they will do a rigorous inspection and all its technical documentation, then they will give you a report, this It has a cost of 350 Euros and it can take from two weeks to a month, they will also give you a small technical sheet where they will specify how often you must do the ITV and the limitations that you will have when you circulate with it through the streets, for example they can limit you speed.
7. Once you have your first report, you must do the paperwork to get the second one, this must be issued by the manufacturer or also by a classics club, there it will be indicated which requirements your vehicle meets in order to become historic, this will cost you approximately 40 euro.
8. Then with your two reports go to the “Industry Department of your Autonomous Community” to request that your car be classified as historic, this will cost 8 euros.
9. If your application is approved, then take your car to do the ITV, which must be done in the province where the owner of the vehicle resides, this will cost you 35 euros; If you are approved for circulation, they will give you a technical inspection card.
10.
